The upcoming anime movie Make A Girl has just released a brand-new trailer and a second visual. The movie is set to hit Japanese theaters on January 31, 2025.
The movie is based on the short Make Love by Gensho Yasuda, who is also the creator of Make A Girl. The story follows Akira, who builds an android to be his girlfriend. Sounds intriguing, right?
The movie’s cast list has been updated. Kana Hanazawa will voice Eri Uminaka, Joji Ueda will play Shoichi Takamine, and Minami Hinata will voice the younger version of the male protagonist, Akira Mizutamari.
Make A Girl had a successful crowdfunding campaign from August to October 2022. It raised about 23.7 million yen, far exceeding its target of 10 million yen. Another crowdfunding campaign ran from September to October 2023. It raised around 23.2 million yen to further enhance the movie’s quality.

The film’s staff includes Gensho Yasuda, who is taking on multiple roles, including director, screenwriter, storyboard artist, unit director, and CG director. Music for the movie will be composed by Kenichiro Suehiro, known for his work on Reand Undead Unluck. The animation is being produced by Gensho Yasuda Studio and Xenotoon.

Shun Horie as Akira Mizutamari, Atsumi Tanezaki as Number 0, Sora Amamiya as Akane Sachimura, and Toshiki Masuda as Kunihito Obayashi.
