Exciting news for fans of the anime “Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian”! Kadokawa has announced that the show will be getting a second season. This announcement came with a special video that got everyone buzzing.
To celebrate, both the light novel’s artist, Momoco, and the manga’s artist, Saho Tanemachi, drew special illustrations. These artworks are a treat for fans who have been eagerly waiting for more of Alya’s adventures.
The second season will pick up right where the first season left off, starting with the fourth volume of the light novel series. If you missed it, the first season aired its final episode on July 3. Crunchyroll streamed the anime, and it even has an English dub for those who prefer to watch in English.

The anime is directed by Ryota Itoh, known for “My Senpai Is Annoying,” and produced by Doga Kobo. Yūhei Murota designed the characters and is also the chief animation director. The music is composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and the sound direction is handled by Takeshi Takadera.
Sumire Uesaka, who voices Alya, also performs the opening theme song “Ichiban Kagayaku Hoshi” (“The Brightest Star”). Each episode features a different cover of a famous song for the ending theme.
For those who haven’t yet dived into the story, here’s a quick rundown: Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, also known as Alya, is a standout student at Seiren Private Academy. Despite her tough exterior and impressive achievements, she has a soft spot for Masachika Kuze, a student who often frustrates her with his careless behavior. Alya’s true feelings are hidden in her mutterings in Russian, which only Masachika can understand.
