Numerous celebrities are paying tribute to Barbara Walters in their memories. After ABC News reported on Walter’s passing at her New York City residence on Friday, celebrities praised the ground-breaking TV journalist on Twitter.

Meghan McCain, a former co-host of The View, commented that Barbara Walters “will always be known as a trail blazer [sic]”. “She became a household name and a leader in American journalism thanks to her probing inquiries and warm personality. She was instrumental in the creation of The View, which I will always appreciate. Rest in peace; you will always be remembered.”

Rosie O’Donnell, a fellow former co-host of The View, posted a video on Instagram in which she reminisced seeing Broadway performances with Walters.

O’Donnell said, “Even at 93, who wouldn’t accept that? What a long, incredible life she had.” “Let everyone remember the barriers she helped to remove for women as she rests in peace. She was the pioneer and will never be forgotten, she really did.”

Debbie Matenopoulos, another former co-host of The View, used her Instagram Story to post old photos of Walters. Part of what Matenopoulos wrote was “By setting an example for us all, you single-handedly altered my life as well as the lives of every other female journalist. You magnificent woman, may you rest in peace, in strength, and in beauty!”

In an Instagram post, Oprah Winfrey featured Walters and thanked him for opening doors for her.

Without Barbara Walters, neither I nor any other woman you see on the evening, morning, or daily news would exist. “She was a Trailblazer, without a doubt. She was always on my mind while I prepared for my first television audition. Gratitude for having her as a strong and gracious role model. I am grateful to have met her. happy to have walked in her Light.”

In her tribute, Alyssa Milano wrote, “Rest In Peace, Barbara Walters. Thanks for helping me find my voice.”
