Blockbuster Indian film to be remade in Korean

The Malayalam film Drishyam starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeetu Joseph was one of the biggest blockbusters of Mollywood. The film was later remade in several languages, and even the remake versions were highly successful. Drishyam 2 was also made, and was released directly on Prime Video. Even sequels were made in multiple languages.

The latest news is that this Indian film will now be remade in Korean language. The film will be produced by Panorama Studios and Korean production house Anthology Studios. The official announcement was made today at the Cannes Film Festival.

Most importantly, this is the first time that an Indian production house will collaborate with a Korean studio for a film. Will the Indian blockbuster win over the Korean audience? We’ll wait and see. More information about this project will be revealed in the coming days.
