Next week AccidentJacob heads downstairs after a confrontation with Ian, while Faith struggles with withdrawal symptoms and tries to change Gethin’s mind about his decision to die.
Here’s a full collection of the biggest moments to watch:
1. Jacob struggles with his new role
Jacob, Ian and Teddy are called to a telecoms engineer named Ron, who is found hanging from a building.
The equipment Ron was working on is sabotaged and the paramedics are unable to call or radio for backup.
Ian decides that the team should attempt to pull Ron up on his own, but Jacob, who is still struggling with his junior student paramedic role, disagrees.
Jacob leaves the scene with a view to calling for help, but Ian is furious when the ropes break and Ron falls to the ground.
2. Jacob and Ian Clash
Ian calls Jacob back to the ED, insisting that he needs his team to back up his decisions.
Ian is not convinced that it would have made a difference if Jacob had stayed, but he should have followed orders.
Ian tells Jacob to take off the rest of the shift and stop trying so hard to prove himself. Jacob takes this comment badly, believing that Ian is referring to what happened to Robin.
3. Faith struggles with withdrawal symptoms
Struggling with withdrawal symptoms, Faith decides to take the day off. However, Stewie spots her and he begs her to work a shift.
As her withdrawal symptoms take hold, Faith can’t take painkillers, or line up fast enough, while treating a patient.
Worried, Stewie asks Donna to take over and urges Faith to take a break.
4. Charlie Supports Jacobs
Realized by Ian about the earlier incident, Jacob turns on Charlie.
He admits to Charlie that he is worried he has made a mistake by joining the paramedic team and that nothing seems to be right.
Charlie tries to reassure Jacob that he has good intentions and can make a success of this new role.
5. Aastha has an accident
Vishwas tries to cool herself down as she suffers from hot flashes but in the process gets bitten by a loose snake of a patient.
Donna takes Faith back to the ED, where Stewie encourages her to take codeine for the pain. Faith refuses – determination to spend the day without any drugs.
6. Jacob is on a downward spiral
Jacob apologizes to Ian for their earlier run-in and Ian assures him that he was not trying to blame him for Robin’s death.
Ian invites Jacob out for a drink, but Jacob claims he has studying to do.
In reality, Jacob goes to a deserted bar and drowns his sorrows. Distraught, the barmaid asks if there is someone to look after her but Jacob feels all alone, and feels entitled to it.
7. Jain tries to change Gethin’s mind
Still concerned about Gethin’s dying wish, Jain calls in sick and takes him on a nostalgic seaside trip.
They enjoy the day together but when they return home, Gethin admits that it was a struggle.
Gethin explains that, while he enjoyed it, the physical effort was exhausting and he is not going to change his mind.
8. Cam tries to impress Jodie
Cam is disappointed to hear Jodie say that she is fed up with men.
When Donna instructs them to evacuate the hospital, Jody worries about what this will mean for their patients.
Desperate to impress her, Cam resolves to find the snake himself but his plan backfires.
