Christina Applegate is – and always will be – one of my favorite actors. from his iconic role in married with Children for her recent award-worthy turn as Jane Harding dead to meChristina always knows how to deliver a knockout performance.
While Christina has been excellent in every season of the hit Netflix series, this third season was even more special.
About halfway through filming, Christina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Christina was determined to finish filming dead to me On her own terms, and with the help of producer Liz Feldman and her co-star Linda Cardellini, she succeeded. In return, she gives her best performance as Jane and everyone takes notice.
for the final season of dead to meChristina has been recognized for her work with a 2023 Critics’ Choice and Screen Actors Guild nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
“When you go to that particular event, it’s all your people — you don’t have anyone but the actors,” Christina said. “And regardless of the actors’ reputations, everyone is really lovely.”
While each SAG Awards she’s attended has been special, Christina revealed that the 2023 ceremony will likely be her last award show as an actor following her MS diagnosis.
Suffice it to say that Christina showed up to the 2023 SAG Awards red carpet in style — her first formal red carpet walk since her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Like the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards, she attended with her daughter Sadie, who also walked the carpet.
I am in love with this velvet look.
And what appears to be the bottom of Christina’s wand is the message, “FU MS.”
Now, while Christina has said that this could possibly be her last award show appearance as an actor, dead to me Season 3 will be eligible for the 2023 Emmy Awards, so Christina could attend another award show if she is nominated again.
I’m personally hoping that tonight Christina takes home a surprise win for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series. I think this would be the perfect way to celebrate her extraordinary work dead to me In all three (perfect) seasons.
