Those who speculated that COVID-19 may have originated in a lab in China – meaning it was created by scientists and escaped by mistake – appear to have been right all along.
Per wall street journal — which says it is reviewing an internal report from the US Department of Energy, which was apparently recently shared with the White House and Congress — that the lab leak theory appears to be correct, at least on their own Based on the investigation and findings.

The DoE’s classified intelligence report concludes that COVID was likely exposed to people through an “accident” in a laboratory in China — though it’s unclear which one, or under what exact circumstances — and that new The intellect has reached this new determination. However, the report also states that his confidence in being completely sure here is “low”.
Here’s the thing… the FBI reached a similar assessment on the origin of the virus in ’21 – through its own investigation – but not every government agency agrees. In fact, there are 4 other (unnamed) agencies, as well as a national intelligence panel, who still feel it may have emerged through natural transmission… but according to the WSJ their confidence is also “low” . In other words, no one really knows — but everyone has a good guess.
So, while this energy report is far from saying definitively about COVID – it does open the door for debate… which was widely shut down as a conspiracy 2-3 years ago, when regular people Were suggesting that it may have been something man-made/human-spread.
In fact, some claimed that they were being completely censored on social media for spreading this type of theory… which was being written off as misinformation at the time, and some even Said it was racist and xenophobic in nature and also suggest lab leak.
