We’ve finally been given a glimpse of what’s to come batman The spin-off show centers around Penguin as photos of Cristin Milioti on set have been shared online and details about her character have been revealed.

Photos from the set of the upcoming project show Milioti sitting in the backseat of a car wearing a white coat with golden hoop earrings. She is set to play Sophia Falcone, the daughter of Gotham crime boss Carmine Falcone, played by John Turturro and Matt Reeves. BatmanWhich was a success last year among critics and audience alike.

There is currently no confirmation on whether Turturro will return as Carmine and play alongside Milioti, however, his character reportedly died. BatmanSo its not likely.

The series will likely focus on the ongoing criminal activity in Gotham, with Sofia stepping in as a replacement for the head of the crime family and challenging Penguin for control. Whether or not we’ll see an appearance from Batman remains to be seen.

Fans welcomed the news and many expressed their love for the casting decision.

However, some were unimpressed. In the comics, Sofia is an imposing, muscular, figure who dwarfs any character with whom she shares a comic panel. His character can be changed slightly from what he is in the comics.

Milioti certainly doesn’t seem like she’ll be a 100% faithful version of the character, but she has the potential to be a dangerous character in her own right.

While we’re still waiting on a release date for the series, it’s certainly a great follow-up to Reeves’ masterpiece. Colin Farrell’s Penguins Was One of the Best Parts of It BatmanSo watching him navigate Gotham’s criminal underbelly will definitely be a crowd-pleaser.
