‘Daredevil: Born Again’ star hints that more Netflix favorites may be coming

filming for Daredevil: Born Again has begun and details surrounding the show are scant, one of the stars of the show, Michael Gandolfinihas given fans something to look forward to as he brings back some Netflix favorites.

Talking to ET Canada about his upcoming Apple Plus series exclusionGandolfini, Legendary Son sopranos Actor James Gandolfini was asked about his upcoming role in the Disney+ Daredevil series. The actor expressed his excitement on being a part of the MCU and said that fans will be happy to see the return of some familiar faces.

“I’m very giddy about it, and very excited. I’m counting down the days until we start, and I’m honored to be a part of it. We get to shoot in New York, And people are going to be really happy to see these characters, who we previously saw in the MCU, in the Netflix series.

So far, we know that Charlie Cox will return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Jon Bernthal has also recently confirmed that he will be returning as The Punisher. However, other fan favorites have been dropped from the show as Alden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll have been confirmed not to be returning as Murdock’s closest associates, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. We also know that Vanessa will now be played by Sandrine Holt, replacing Alette Zurer, who played the character between 2015 and 2018.

While the Disney Plus series isn’t going to follow the exact continuity of the Netflix series, Gandolfini’s comments could mean that even more of the original cast is returning. If Not Henson and Woll, Maybe We’ll See Some of Them defenders pop up in series, jessica jones has been one of the most memorable in the eyes of many fans, so it would be great to see Krysten Ritter return to the role.
