In a series of posts on Twitter, Dax Harwood called out AEW for turning down FTR and referenced the end of the team’s deal with them. Earlier today, AEW congratulated the members of their roster for winning the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards. FTR winning Best Tag Team was not mentioned. Notably, AEW congratulated Brisco for winning Best Feud without mentioning FTR, who was also in that feud.
Congratulations were also extended to winners Bryan Danielson (Best Technical Wrestler), MJF (Best Interview and Most Charismatic), Jon Moxley (Wrestler of the Year, US and Canada MVP, and Bruiser Brody Memorial Award), and Acclaimed (Best Improvement).
After posting screenshots of other wrestlers receiving congratulations, Dax wrote: “Tell me that April is coming without telling me that April is coming.,
Dax has said in the past that FTR’s deal with AEW ended in April. He also suggested that he take a year off on the independent scene.
