Emmerdale’< Paddy has been battling loneliness since his marriage to Chas broke up. since returning emerdaleHe has fallen into the deepest pits of depression and is experiencing suicidal thoughts.
In today’s episode (3 March), a helpless Marlon was in distress as everyone tried to find Paddy.
After Rona makes a discovery in the veterinary surgery, the reality of Paddy’s plan astounds everyone and makes them even more desperate to find him before it’s too late.

Chas and Marlon head to Grace’s tree, but she is nowhere to be found. Then a weary Marlon sees a faint figure in a field, which is paddy.
Marlon asks Paddy to walk home with him.
Marlon told his best friend, “All I want to do right now is hug you. Tight. And yell at you at the same time.”
He then tells Paddy how much he and his family and friends love him. She reminded Paddy of his children and told him that the idea of him not being in the world was too distressing to even comprehend.
Marlon’s words are enough to persuade Paddy to go home, where a doctor visits him.

Later, Chas inadvertently tells April what happened to Paddy, causing April to run off for Paddy, angry and distraught at how much trouble her father, Marlon, had gone through for Paddy.
She then breaks down in tears at the thought of Eve, Leo, and Marlon losing her.
“None of this is okay. Please don’t do this, we love you so much,” she cried as she hugged him.
