The show is also a reunion of sorts for Abrams and Reeves, who worked together on the famous WB show Ultimate happiness,

“We are excited to bring this character back, working together to tell gripping new stories in Gotham City,” Abrams and Reeves said in a joint statement following the show’s announcement. “The series will be thrilling, cinematic and evocative of Batman’s noir roots, while diving deeper into the psychology of these iconic characters. We can’t wait to share this new world together.”
