Gigi Hadid has admitted to being a “Nepo baby” – adding that she doesn’t consider herself “the most beautiful person in the world”.

The supermodel is considered one of the world’s most successful runway stars alongside her sister, Bella Hadid, but even she admits to taking some much needed helping hand to get to the top.

“Technically I am the child of nepotism,” Hadid told the Times of London. “My parents came from very little.”

“I’ve always accepted that I come from privilege,” she said.

The model, whose real name is Jelena Hadid, 27, is the daughter of Dutch model Yolanda Hadid, who starred on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” from 2012 to 2016.

Meanwhile, her father is the Palestinian-born property developer and magnate Mohammed Hadid.

“My parents told me, ‘Just because your parents are successful, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be as good and hardworking at a job as you can be,'” Gigi said.

In her journey to reach global stardom, Gigi landed her first modeling gig when she was just two years old.

Before making her New York Fashion Week runway debut in 2014, she went on to work with Victoria’s Secret.

Since then, she has walked the runway for almost every fashion house and graced the cover of every fashion magazine.

Hadid’s comments on nepotism come three months after Vulture posted an article naming all the people in Hollywood who have had the advantage of being the children of famous parents.

Those named include Lottie Moss, half-sister of Kate Moss; O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of rapper Ice Cube; and Lily Allen, daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen.

While most celebs have chosen to remain silent on the subject, actress Jamie Lee Curtis recently joked about being a product of nepotism during her monologue at the 2023 SAG Awards.

“I got my SAG card when I was 19, when I signed a seven-year contract with Universal Studios and starred in an ABC TV series called ‘Operation Petticoat,’ based on the film by my father, Tony Curtis. – Nepo Baby -,” Curtis said last month.

“The current conversation about Napo babies is designed only to belittle and discredit and hurt. For the record, I have navigated for 44 years, my associated and reflected fame has benefited me.

“I don’t pretend there’s no one who tries to tell me I have no value,” she concluded.
