Announcing Jhanvi’s graduation, Juhi posted a picture from her convocation on Friday. He wrote on Twitter, “#columbiaclass2023”. Juhi’s close friend, actor Shah Rukh Khan, congratulated her saying, “It’s awesome. Can’t wait to come back and celebrate with her. And feeling extremely proud. Love you Janz.”
Talking about Jhanvi, Juhi Chawla told News18, “One should not praise one’s child, but she is a brilliant child and boasts of a commendable academic record. She also excelled in her International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams and topped history in India. In IB, he topped his school. At Columbia University, he’s on the dean’s list.”
“He is very into cricket! When she talks about cricket – the players and the nuances of the game. Sometimes I wonder where all this knowledge comes from! I find this very surprising. It’s what she chose for herself, so I can’t really take credit for it. It all comes organically to him. I have seen many star kids trying to make it big in Bollywood. He is trying to come on screen as an actor and I think it is a lot of pressure on him. You never know whether your next assignment, should you get it, will be successful. And then it dominates the social media. It’s a lot to deal with,” Juhi said.
Juhi Chawla married industrialist Jai Mehta in 1995. The couple has two children – Jhanvi Mehta and Arjun Mehta. Jhanvi always likes to stay away from the limelight. She was earlier studying at Charterhouse in Surrey, UK.
