Since James Gunn and Peter Safran were named the studio’s new co-CEOs, the future of DC Studios has been in doubt. First, it was made public that Patty Jenkins had left Wonder Woman 3 because it didn’t work with her future plans.
Then it was announced that Henry Cavill may not reprise his role as Superman and that he had shot a cameo for The Flash, which may or may not be featured in the production. Gunn has addressed the numerous rumors that have surfaced regarding the transition while remaining open about it. Even today, he refuted a rumor that said they will include Robert Pattinson’s Batman into the main DC Universe.
One thing is certain: things will look significantly different after Gunn and Safran carry out their plans. Fans appear to believe that Ezra Miller should no longer play The Flash, and one fan artist has recently produced new fan art depicting Lucas Till as the Fastest Man Alive.

In a fresh rendering by Ozil, the X-Men actress is seen as the potential Scarlett Speedster. In the fan art, the actor is seen wearing a darker shade of red, complete with the traditional yellow boots. Given the uncertainty surrounding DC Studios’ future, it will be intriguing to see who might take Miller’s place in the role.
At the beginning of the month, Gunn and Safran took on their roles as DC Studios’ co-CEOs, and it’s safe to say that the company’s future is looking promising. When the pair’s appointment was revealed by the new head of Warner Bros. Discovery, they issued a statement expressing their enthusiasm for the position.
In a joint statement, Gunn and Safran said, “We’re pleased to be the caretakers of these DC characters we’ve adored since we were kids.” “In order to build a cohesive, complex universe that still allows for the individual expression of the artists involved, we are looking forward to working with the most brilliant writers, directors, and performers in the world. Only the wonder of human possibility that these characters stand for rivals our passion to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, and the rest of the DC cast. As we tell some of the biggest, most beautiful, and greatest stories ever told, we’re thrilled to revitalize the theatrical experience all around the world.”
