Homes and businesses have been left without power in two towns in Kent.
Engineers have been called in to repair power cuts in the Whitstable and Herne Bay areas this evening.
UK Power Networks says it was informed of the power cut just after 6 p.m.
An update shortly after 7.30pm said: “Our crews are checking our equipment across the region to rule out a problem on our underground cabling network.
“In addition, they are liaising closely with our control room to find safe and reliable ways to replace power around any problems and restore all, which they are now doing from 9.30 to 10.30 p.m. Expect to complete between hrs.

“We know our customers can be concerned about food in the fridge and freezer, so we want to try and help with advice.
“Foods should keep for up to six hours in the fridge and between 15 and 24 hours in the freezer if you avoid opening them.
“We will keep you updated on the progress of our engineers.”
Earlier UK Power Networks reported how engineers in its control room had brought some customers’ power back on.
