Netflix’s hit anime My Happy Marriage is returning soon with Season 2! Fans are excited as the new teaser trailer has been released, along with a special visual and a release window. The second season is set to premiere in January 2025, so the wait isn’t too long.
The first teaser was revealed through Netflix’s Anime YouTube channel. Along with the trailer, some new voice actors were introduced to the cast. Ryotaro Okiayu will be voicing Tadakiyo Kudo, Kikuko Inoue as Fuyu Kudo, and Yuuya Uchida as Naoshi Usui. This addition brings even more depth to the story, which is already loved by so many.

A new promotional image was also released, showing Miyo Saimori, the main character, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms. Miyo’s bond with Kiyoka Kudo, who at first seemed distant, continues to be the heart of the series. Their relationship has helped them both heal from their difficult pasts. The story of My Happy Marriage comes from light novels by Akumi Agitogi, and it’s been so popular that the books have sold over 9 million copies worldwide!
The anime first aired over a year ago and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular shows. In the second half of 2023, it was the second most-watched Netflix anime, racking up an incredible 13.2 million views. Even in 2024, the show still ranked well, with 3.6 million views in the first half of the year. Other top anime, like Delicious in Dungeon and Demon Slayer, were also highly ranked, but My Happy Marriage continues to stand out.

The main stars of the series, Reina Ueda (as Miyo) and Kaito Ishikawa (as Kiyoka), will be returning for Season 2. Netflix’s official description of the anime highlights how Miyo, mistreated by her family, finds hope and strength through her relationship with Kiyoka. Together, they unlock Miyo’s hidden powers and help her true self shine.
