One change is Nene Hieda voicing Kamome Kushima. In the original game, Kamome was voiced by Tomomi Mineuchi, but she retired from voice acting in 2022. Hieda seems like a great choice though, and she’ll likely do a great job.

Setting the Scene

Bihou, Inc. will handle the art, with Shunichiro Yoshihara as the art director and Kaoru Aoki on the art setting. We can expect beautiful summer landscapes and character designs. Teruaki Tokumaru is on board as the special animation director, promising amazing special effects.

The crew also includes Sari Tagawa on color design, Fumi Nanba as director of photography, Kōhei Ogawa on 3DCG, Rumi Maruyama handling editing, and Ryōsuke Naya as sound director. With this talented team, Summer Pockets looks to be in good hands.

A Summer to Remember

While we don’t have an exact release date in 2025 yet, this news is worth celebrating. Summer Pockets is a beautiful story about friendship, love, and growing up, set in a charming island town. With this amazing team, the anime adaptation has the potential to be an unforgettable summer experience.
