Terry Crews Leads Jumpstart, CBS Comedy Pilot Based on Comic Strip

Terry Crews is back in uniform. brooklyn nine-nine Vet set to star in and executive-produce CBS comedy pilot jump startOur sister site Deadline reports.

The project is based on the popular comic strip that debuted in 1989 and featured the everyday experiences of a young black couple. Crew Philadelphia Police Officer Joseph L. Cobb, who tries to be perfect in every aspect of his life. The prospective series follows Joseph and his wife, Marcie, a nurse and Joe’s fellow curmudgeon.

According to Deadline, “Cruz’ Joe Cobb is a devoted husband, son, father, and Philadelphia police officer.” “He is also a proud black man and often feels pressure to be flawless in every role he plays, especially in light of the controversies surrounding policing. He is an engaging and enthusiastic role model in his community. Loves family, but comes up short in the hilarious and endearing way that makes viewers root for him.

Crew best known for playing brooklyn nine-nineTerry Jeffords in all eight seasons of the comedy series between 2013–2021, He also starred as Julius, the patriarch of the family. everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009) and as Nick Person Are We There Yet?
