Fashion designer Masaba Gupta has shared an emotional note in memory of Satish Kaushik. The 66-year-old filmmaker passed away in New Delhi, reportedly due to a heart attack. Masaba took to Instagram Stories to share a throwback picture of her mother, veteran actress Neena Gupta and Satish Kaushik. Along with this Masaba wrote, “Rest in peace, Kaushik uncle. You gave the biggest gift to mother… your kindness all these years – we will miss you. Masaba added a red heart to her post. For those who do not know, Neena Gupta in her autobiography to be honest, revealed that Satish Kaushik offered to marry the actress when Masaba happened. “Don’t worry, if the child is born with a dark complexion, you can just say it’s mine, and we’ll get married. No one will suspect a thing,” he said.
Masaba Gupta also has a blast from the past featuring Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik. It is a collage of three photographs from his time at the National School of Drama.
Neena Gupta has also shared a touching video on Instagram condoling the demise of her close friend Satish Kaushik. In the video message, the actress said, “Woke up to very sad news. There is only one person in the whole world who used to call me Nancy and I used to call him Kaushikan. Our friendship dates back to our college days. He is no more. This is very scary and sad. His daughter Vanshika and his wife Shashi – this is a very difficult time for them, and I am always there for them if they ever need me. May God give them the strength to deal with this loss, especially Vanshika.
The last rites of Satish Kaushik were performed in Oshiwara, Mumbai on Thursday.
