Menstrual cup companies praised…

The spotlight of the episode will last!!!

“The Last of Us” is not only creating huge TV ratings and buzz, but it is now receiving praise from menstrual cup companies for promoting the product and increasing sales.

No big spoilers here, but if you missed last week’s episode… you didn’t see main character Ellie being gifted a menstrual cup. At first, Ellie, who was born in a post-apocalyptic world, seems a bit confused, but when she finds out what it is she becomes excited… saying “gross” with a smile on her face. Is.

While the scene was quick, fans took to online shopping to celebrate the importance of bringing women’s health to the forefront and showcasing a reusable alternative to tampons and pads.

A representative from The Flex Company, which makes menstrual cups, told TMZ that they saw a 400% increase in sales in the 2 days after the episode aired on HBO, a testament to the media’s “unparalleled power to demystify periods”. Is.

At Kora Life, another menstrual cup maker, a representative says they’re thrilled to see a sustainable menstrual care product on such a high-profile show…and they’ve even seen a slight increase in orders .

Worth noting that ‘The Last of Us’ doesn’t depict any specific brands, but apparently, it has inspired consumers to research them.

The Lena Cup is getting hit even harder — a rep says the market was “energized” by the HBO shoutout, and they’re all hoping the scene will normalize menstrual cups.

While the folks at Quora Life say that some viewers tuning in may not know about menstrual cups… they do now, and that makes the scene even more powerful.
