These are the 10 best selling cars of February 2023.
In terms of volumes, Maruti Suzuki models contributed to over 70% of the list. The brand has 7 cars in the list, while Tata Motors has two and Hyundai has 1 model. February also marked a month of discounts with a lot of manufacturers selling off their old stocks with lucrative deals ahead of the RDE norms coming into effect from April 1, 2023.

Maruti Suzuki
India’s largest passenger car maker Maruti Suzuki has 7 out of 10 cars in the top 10 sales list for February 2023. Not only this, the company’s top 6 models are consecutive and Tata Nexon is at the 7th position in the list. After 12 years, Maruti has consistently occupied the top 6 positions in the list.
The Maruti Baleno emerged as the best-selling car of February 2023 with sales of 18,592 units, just 180 units ahead of the Swift. Along with the Glanza, the hatchback sold over 22,800 units. Maruti Alto grabbed the third rank and registered a whopping 57% sales.
Maruti Suzuki has also retained the crown of best-selling SUV in February 2023 with Vitara Brezza at the sixth position with sales of 15,787 units.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors has two models, the Nexon and the Punch compact SUV at the 7th and 9th positions respectively. The Nexon has registered a growth of 14% after selling 13,914 units and 11,169 units respectively in February 2023, while the Punches is up 16%.
Hyundai
Hyundai Creta has been the saving grace for the company and secured the last position in the top 10 list with sales of 10,421 units in February 2023. There is an 8% increase in the number of units sold in February 2022 to 9,606 units. Creta is at the 11th position with sales of 9,997. units at the same time.
