In a new tweet, Vivek wrote, “Did you know Cannes Film Festival is all about the movies? I thought I should remind you in case you are wondering this is a fashion show.
Responding to him, actor Meera Chopra commented, “It’s so sad, I said the same thing when I went there last year.. that it has become a fashion parade. Bollywood only talks about what you are wearing and you all are being covered in the media to such an extent that it becomes stressful. Trust me it is not the same for other countries. They are not as crazy about fashion and PR as we are!”

Meera Chopra made her red carpet debut at Cannes last year. Talking about her experience, she had told Hindustan Times, “It was really an overwhelming feeling to go to the festival because I didn’t go with just some brand of liquor, or just to walk the red carpet without anything. . I know there were many people who were doing this. But I went there to promote my film Safed by launching the poster. But, now the whole exercise of dressing up, getting your pictures clicked, putting it on your social media has become cumbersome and tiresome. I don’t know what purpose it serves.
“The spotlight should always be more on the work. But because of this craziness that everything comes down to what kind of design and brand are you wearing? It’s a very shallow way of thinking,” she also said.

They are mostly girls (in this case a suitable man). You can see him now with almost every female celebs in India too. Why are we becoming so stupid and oppressive to such uncomfortable fashions?
