A Journey Full of Delays
The anime began airing on April 13 in TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation programming block. However, it faced multiple delays during its run. Episodes 9 and 10, for instance, were postponed by two weeks due to production issues, finally airing in late June. The team promised to update fans about the final episodes, and now they’ve delivered.
Even the Blu-ray release schedule wasn’t spared from delays. Initially planned to launch in September, the first Blu-ray volume will now release on January 31 next year. Subsequent volumes have also been pushed back by about four months.
What Makes This Anime Special?
For those new to the show, Whisper Me a Love Song is based on the popular manga by Eku Takeshima. It follows Himari, a cheerful high school freshman who falls for her senpai, Yori, after hearing her band perform. The series brings a mix of romance, music, and relatable emotions, making it a must-watch for fans of heartfelt storytelling.
