Hey everyone! Great news for fans of Wistoria: Wand and Sword! The preview trailer for Episode 2 just came out on Sunday. The show is an action-fantasy series and it’s animated by studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. You can watch it with English subtitles on Crunchyroll.

Team Behind the Show
The director of the show is Tatsuya Yoshihara, who also worked on Black Clover. He’s also handling the script and series composition. Yuki Maeda, known for Black Clover, is the art director. Sayaka Ono, who worked on Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy, is the character designer and animation director. Naomi Nakano, known for Solo Leveling, is the color designer. Yuki Hayashi, who composed music for Haikyu! and My Hero Academia, is doing the music.

What’s the Show About?
Crunchyroll describes Wistoria: Wand and Sword as a story about a boy named Will who goes to a magic academy. He wants to be a great sorcerer, but he has a problem – he can’t use magic! Even though his classmates and teachers don’t believe in him, Will keeps trying. He can’t use a wand, but he’s good with a sword. He believes in his own strengths and remembers a promise he made to someone special.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 2 will be released on July 14, 2024.

About the Manga
The anime is based on a manga written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. The manga started in December 2020 and has 10 volumes. Seven of these volumes are available in English. The manga has over 800,000 copies in circulation. Fujino Omori is also famous for creating DanMachi (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon).
