Toei just announced that the FUUTO PI anime, based on the Fūto Tantei manga, will have a special movie called Fūto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shōzō (FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull). This movie will only be in Japanese theaters starting November 8 for a limited time. It’s a story about the early days of Kamen Rider W.
Kenjirō Tsuda joins the cast as Sōkichi Narumi. Other returning actors include Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shōtarō Hidari, Kōki Uchiyama as Phillip, Akira Sekine as Tokime, Mikako Komatsu as Akiko Narumi, Makoto Furukawa as Ryū Terui, and Daisuke Ono as Yukiji Bandō.
Yousuke Kabashima directs the film at Studio KAI, with Ayataka Tanemura assisting. Toei Video will release the movie.

The team includes scriptwriter Tatsuto Higuchi, character designer Hidekazu Ebina, chief animation director Kiyoshi Komatsubara, and composers Kotaro Nakagawa and Shuhei Naruse. Hideaki Tsukada is the executive producer, and Akira Onodera is the supervisor. Key animators are Kazuki Kimura, Ken Obata, Kenta Yokoya, and Shun Shibata.
Fūto Tantei manga is a sequel to the 2009 Kamen Rider W series, with Riku Sanjō handling the scripts and Masaki Satou illustrating. It started in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine in August 2017.

The manga’s story is set in FUUTO, where Shotaro and Philip protect the city. Strange things keep happening, especially on the outskirts. Tokime, a mysterious woman, appears, bringing new threats. It marks the start of a fresh battle for Kamen Rider W.
The FUUTO PI anime started in August 2022, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise. Crunchyroll streamed the series during its release. The manga also inspired a stage play in late 2022 and early 2023.
Kamen Rider W originally aired from September 2009 to August 2010 during Japan’s Heisei era. It starred Renn Kiriyama as Shotaro Hidari and Masaki Suda as Philip.
