The Japanese band fhána has just dropped a new music video for their latest single, “Tenshitachi no Uta,” which means “The Song of Angels.” This song is the opening theme for the summer 2024 anime Days with My Stepsister.
You can now catch the music video on fhána’s official YouTube channel. This song is special because it’s their 17th TV anime theme song since they started back in 2013.
The video shows a fresh and unique side of the band. Junichi Sato, the band’s keyboardist, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that they tried something new with this video. It was filmed in Shibuya, a key location for Days with My Stepsister. The video blends the band members with the daily life of the city. There’s no lip-syncing; instead, it focuses on Shibuya’s scenery and the song’s lyrics.

The video was directed by the up-and-coming filmmaker Takamaeda-san. Sato describes it as both literary and visually striking, with a blend of fast and slow pacing. He hopes viewers will find it as beautiful and gentle as the anime itself.
The single “Tenshitachi no Uta” was released digitally on July 4. You can stream or download it on various digital platforms.
Days with My Stepsister began airing on July 4, 2024. The first three episodes are available on Crunchyroll for members across many regions. The anime, part of the mixed-media project by Ghost Mikawa, follows Yuta Asamura and his new stepsister, Saki Ayase. They start off keeping their distance but eventually find their feelings growing deeper as they share experiences.
