Dancing On Ice judge Janine Torvill revealed during Sunday’s episode of the show that she injured her arm while skating.

As props week began at the ITV ice skating competition, professional ice dancer Jayne, 65, was seen with her arm in a green sling that matched her dazzling dress.

Asked by host Phillip Scofield about the injury, the 60-year-old said: ‘Things are going wrong on the ice, my bicep tendon is torn, so I need surgery.’

She added: ‘But I’m fine and will be back on the ice soon.’

Jayne isn’t the only Dancing On Ice star to have suffered an injury – the famous contestants had a series of falls during rehearsals this week.

The contestants including Carly Stenson, Neil Wilson and Mollie Gallagher all fell on the ice as they prepared for this evening’s show.

Although no one suffered any injuries that would force them to pull out of the event, a source told MailOnline they were all feeling the pressure of putting in a solid performance with the semi-final draw.

The insider added: ‘There’s been a lot of fallout for celebs this week. There have been no serious injuries, just a few bumps, but the pressure is really mounting as everyone gets closer to the semi-finals and finals.

‘Everyone is determined to give their best performance.’

Doctors star Carly moaned in pain as she fell forward onto the rink with partner Mark Hannerty.

In a snap from rehearsal, Niles can be seen lying on his back as his professional skating partner Olivia Smart ran over to see if he was okay.

Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Molly had to be rescued by her skating partner Sylvain Longchambon after she fell.

On tonight’s show, the remaining contestants were Carly, Nyle, Molly, TOWIE star Joey Essex, singer Siva Kansaveren and Drag Race star The Vivian.

Comedian Darren Harriot and his partner Tippi Packard were the most recently eliminated couple on last week’s show.

Wanted star Shiva has spoken of her determination to make it to the Dancing On Ice final to honor her late bandmate Tom Parker.

Tom passed away last March aged 33 after a brave battle with brain cancer, having been diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in October 2020.

Shiva said that if he makes it to the finals, he hopes to do something special in memory of Tom by performing one of his songs.

He also discussed how he plans to invite Tom’s widow, Kelsey, and their two children.

Shiva said: ‘If I can make it to the final, I’d love to do something special for Tom, maybe use one of our songs and invite Kelsey and the kids.’
