Later, Monica Bhadauria, who plays Bawri, revealed her ordeal and claimed that Asit Modi had threatened to ruin her career. Now Priya Ahuja, who plays the role of Rita reporter in the show, has spoken.

Priya Ahuja aka Rita reporter shares her ordeal
In an interview with Etimes, Priya Ahuja shared how the behavior of Asit Modi and team changed after she tied the knot with director Malav Rajda. She claimed that she was treated unfairly and the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah went through mental harassment. She said that after marrying Malav, her track in the show was reduced and after he left the show, she did not know anything about his track. Priya revealed that she messaged Asit Modi several times asking about his track on the show and did not get any response. He also messaged Sohil Ramani to get clarity on his role but the efforts went in vain. He further said, “You didn’t invite me on the show for 9 months because your relationship with Malav ended and you threw me away like a fly after that…”. He also claimed that he got to hear that Malav was earning so why did he have to work. Priya Ahuja felt humiliated as despite working on the show for 14 years, she did not get any response from any producer about her track.
Is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah ‘malevolent’?
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal also called the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah ‘malevolent’. Priya Ahuja agreed for this. He said that there is a ‘100 per cent’ ‘malevolent’ attitude on the set. She also expressed shock at Mandar Chandvarkar’s comments saying that the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a happy place and not a malevolent one. Priya Ahuja shared that she is taken aback by his statements as she is a very good friend of Jennifer.
Apart from this, Priya Ahuja also talked about Jennifer Mistry Baniswal and shared that she is not disrespectful, an undisciplined person. Rather he called her ‘the loveliest’ and ‘spiritual’. Priya Ahuja however also said that she has no knowledge about the sexual harassment claims made by Jennifer.
