Aggie MacKenzie revealed on Sunday that her rift with her How Clean Is Your House co-star Kim Woodburne was not hers.
Their Channel 4 show Together, which ran from 2003 to 2009, saw them travel across the country to clean dirty houses.
Agee, 67, has now shared that the cleaning experts were very different people, which meant there was ‘friction’ between them but it helped make the show better.
Speaking to Nana Akua on GB News, she said: ‘I think we are chalk and cheese, and very different from each other, but I think that was one of the reasons it worked.
‘The friction we had created this energy and so we knew how to be in front of the camera. I mean, most of it was advertising libel. We had an idea of the plot, but we made it up as we went along.
Aggie continued: ‘Kim is not the most straight forward person. I’m one of those people who just likes to move forward and Kim had a very rough start, a tough childhood and I think growing up in her household, there was a lot of conflict, a lot of rows and she spent a lot of her childhood with the kids. Home spent at home.
‘And I think it’s normal for her to have a struggle and I think if things are calm and easy, I think she found it quite difficult. It’s not me, I like it simple. Many were high and some were low.
She also admitted that their show ended because their relationship was too fractious and it was too difficult for them to continue filming together.
The star revealed that both presenters were also ready to do something different and move on from the show.
Agee said: ‘We did it for a while and it became really I mean, it was very stressful. We did it for six years, and that’s a long time.’
The star also spoke to Nana about her personal life, revealing that she was married but is now divorced and has two grown boys who are 32 and 28 and works as a chef.
The exciting part is that she is also going to be a grandmother this summer, which she can’t wait for.
And speaking of her health, she revealed to the presenter that she takes a few spoonfuls of apple cider vinegar every day and is even more health conscious now that she is in her late 60s.
Having qualified as an instructor when she turned 50, Aggie also enjoys moving her body through yoga.
She said: ‘When I turned 50 I thought I’d better start moving my body and getting some exercise. So I thought, what do old people do? Yoga!
‘So I started doing it in the beginning and I thought I was bored and then I liked it, and then I liked it so much that I thought I wanted to train to be a teacher.
‘It was really hard work, it was like 18 months and a lot of writing for a dissertation, a lot of anatomy and physiology but then I qualified and I’ve been teaching for about six years now. I actually teach every day and it’s the best thing ever.’
The star shared that yoga has changed her life, making her fitter, flexible and stronger than ever.
She teaches a mix of age groups, focusing on teaching certain types of exercise for different people.
Aggie’s student is 82 and revealed: ‘She’s wonderful, and I love teaching her and so I take it a little more slowly and play it straight.’
Cleaning queen Aggie also shared some of her favorite tips for keeping your home looking fresh, including using vinegar.
She said: ‘Vinegar is wonderful – you don’t have to buy a lot of product or loads of chemicals and you don’t have to spend money.
‘For me, it was from Good Housekeeping and I knew all these amazing things vinegar could do. And so actually over the years I co-authored a book about vinegar with my former colleague at Good Housekeeping.
“She made recipes using vinegar, and I did all the cleaning tips using vinegar.” In fact this Thursday, the book is coming out in paperback and it’s full of great tips and beautiful recipes and I highly recommend it.’
