Carrie Underwood expresses gratitude after gifting ‘almost 70lbs of cheese’ to her family

Carrie Underwood was gifted a cake made of cheese wheels on her 40th birthday.

The former American Idol winner, who celebrated her birthday on Friday, shared several photos on her Instagram Story that showcased how her family had chosen to celebrate her special day.

The hitmaker, who recently revealed that she had a washer/dryer in her walk-in closet, jokingly wrote that she felt ‘understood’ by her loved ones in the text graphic, which was added to one of her posts.

Underwood posted a selfie of herself next to what she described as ‘about 70lbs of cheese.

The artist kept it casual in the snap wearing a black button-up shirt, and her gorgeous blonde hair fell over her shoulders.

The Inside Your Heaven singer also showed off what she called a “lifetime’s worth of wines starting from 1983,” which were arranged around her cheese wheel cake.

She went on to share notes to her sons Jake and Isaiah, ages eight and four, detailing what they loved about their mother.

Underwood shares her children with her husband, Mike Fischer, whom she began dating in 2008.

The couple tied the knot in 2010 during a wedding ceremony held in Georgia.

The pair later started a family with the arrival of Jake, which took place in February 2015.

The singer and her husband welcomed Isaiah into their lives in January 2019.

Although she appeared to be enjoying relaxing with her family, Underwood recently released a new single called Out of the Truck.

The hitmaker released his new song on Friday to mark his birthday.

The singer’s most recent album, titled Denim & Rhinestone, was released last June.

Lyrically, Underwood’s new single focuses on dealing with a recent breakup.

The artist shared a snippet of the track as well as its cover art on his Instagram account on Thursday.

She went on to post a making-of clip that showed her recording the track in a studio on her account the following day.
