Miley Cyrus is famous for her live performances (especially her amazing covers), but don’t expect to see the pop star again on an arena tour. In a recent British Vogue interview, Cyrus stated that performing in such large venues made her uncomfortable and preferred to perform in smaller, more intimate venues for friends and family.
Cyrus said of the tour, “It’s been a minute.” “after the last [headline arena] show i did [in 2014], I kind of saw it as a question. and I can not. Not only can, because it is not your ability, but my will. Do I want to live my life for the happiness or fulfillment of someone other than myself?
“Like singing for hundreds of people is not really something that I enjoy,” she continued. “There’s no connection. There’s no security. It’s also not natural. It’s very isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people you’re alone.
Cyrus’ last arena show was the 2015 Bangerz Tour. The tour lasted 78 shows and stopped at venues such as the O2 Arena in London and the Barclays Center in New York City. Some fans thought Cyrus was planning a new arena tour to support her eighth studio album, “Endless Summer Vacation”, which was released in March. That seems unlikely based on her latest comments, though perhaps Cyrus will tour in other types of venues, such as Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
“Endless Summer Vacation” includes Cyrus’ smash single “Flowers”, which is the fastest track in Spotify history to cross 1 billion streams in 112 days.
Producer Michael Pollack said, “The reception to ‘Flowers’ has been absolutely wild.” Diversity Amidst the blockbuster success of the single earlier this year. “It’s not up to me how much of a unicorn this record is and how many times in your career you get a part like that.”
