On March 6, a manga version of a fantasy mystery novel will be released.
On Monday, the March issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine confirmed that manga artist Yo Asami will release a manga adaptation of Natsu Hyga’s novel Seijo ni Uso wa Tsjinai (You Can’t Lie to a Saint) in the magazine’s April issue on March 6. On Monday, Hyga also revealed the manga version of the novel on Twitter:
The fantasy mystery manga follows a female priest trainee who is obsessed with money and an aspiring holy knight. They will work together to uncover the truth about the assassination of a shrine maiden candidate for the big church.
In May 2022, Frontier Works’ Arian Rose brand published Hyga’s novel with artwork by Chiho Shinishi. Shinishi is also responsible for the initial character design in the manga.
In 2011, Hyga released their light book The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) on the Shsetsu-ka ni Narou (“Let’s Be Novelists”) website. The novels are being published in print by Shufunotomo, with illustrations by Touko Shino, and the 12th volume will be released in July 2022. The novels are digitally published in English by J-Novel Club.

In May 2017, Nekokurage published a manga version of the novels in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine. On February 25, Square Enix will release the manga’s 11th volume. The manga has been licensed by Square Enix Manga & Books, and the eighth volume will be released in English on June 6. In August 2017, Minoji Kurata published the spinoff manga Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Mao Mao no Kky Nazotoki Tech (The Apothecary Diaries The Palace Cloister Mystery-Solving Notebook of Mao Mao) in Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday GX magazine. Shogakukan released the 15th volume of the spinoff manga in November 2022.
In June 2017, Asami published the manga adaptation of Takaya Kagami’s light novel series Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose – Catastrophe at 16 (Owari no Seraph: Ichinose Guren, 16-sai no Catastrophe) in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. The show concluded in February 2022. Asami also illustrated Kagami’s Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Resurrection at Nineteen light novels (Owari no Seraph: Ichinose Guren, 19-sai no Resurrection).
