According to a report in Sacnilk, the film’s earnings are being estimated 3.25-3.50 cr nett on Saturday. The report stated, “This is probably the first time that a film has flopped so quickly at the box office.” 10 crore weekend.
Selfie is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Driving License, which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles.

As Selfie failed to garner viewership in the cinema halls, many questioned the choice of Akshay as he recently delivered back to back flops. Reacting to this, producer Ekta Kapoor came out in support of Akshay Kumar and penned a strongly worded message praising Akshay and his professionalism.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Ekta wrote, “Akshay Kumar is the most reliable, relatable actor to work with!!! To put someone down for the sake of putting someone down is a big meanness in itself!!!” She also added the hashtag – “insensitive.”
